Boss, Punishment/Enforcement Entity. First seen Book 1, Chapter 38

Rage Elemental (bathroom-punishment summon)

The Rage Elemental is a punishment/enforcement entity, not a standard boss, level 93, summoned into a Floor 2 hallway at the exact site of a rule violation. It takes the form of a roughly fifteen-foot smoke creature with a flickering, horned skull-like face floating within it, and two long, clawed obsidian forelegs, the only solid part of its body.

LEVEL
93
FLOOR LOCATION
Floor 2 hallway - summoned at the exact site of Jack's bathroom-rule violation

Description

Six-legged, black/purple and sizzling; the skull is badger-like with goat horns and burning red eyes; the obsidian forelegs end in finger-like claws.

Encounter Details

Near-indestructible - self-heals instantly, only dissipates after claiming 666 souls. Can cut through Confusing Fog effects (unaffected by the blindness). Confirmed capable of casting a localized reverse-gravity spell. Its claws are physically blocked by Carl's Protective Shell spell, though the creature's body/head can still pass partway through the barrier.

  1. Encounter update

Killing the massive incoming Brindle Grub swarm did not count toward its 666-souls dissipation requirement - it briefly left the door to slaughter the swarm (wiping out thousands of grubs in under a minute) then returned to attacking the door, seemingly unaffected/undissipated.

  1. Outcome

Killed - Carl and Donut lured it into the Floor 2 stairwell hole using a bike-trailer bomb launcher ('The MOAB'/'Bomb Chicken'), an oil slick, and a last-second Puddle Jumper teleport to escape the blast radius. Confirmed (per Rory and Mordecai's earlier hints) that any mob attempting to descend a stairwell DISSOLVES rather than teleporting away - the dungeon's own rules killed it, not Carl/Donut directly. As a result, NO experience was awarded for the kill since they weren't the ones who landed the final blow. Only a couple of minor achievements were received instead.
