OVERVIEW
Place, Floor 1. First seen Book 1, Chapter 21
The Spiral (ring maze)
The Spiral is a large, circular Floor 1 dungeon structure whose floor curves into concentric rings rather than a standard grid, with the stairwell to Floor 2 at its center.
Depth: Floor 1. Revealed so far: surface, floor 1, floor 2.
- Book 1, Chapter 21: Warning graffiti from an unmet crawler group; portcullis gate leads into the interior ring; giant creature detected rushing past just beyond the outer wall
- Book 1, Chapter 26: Inside the boss arena, the ring floor uses dynamic rising/sinking walls (visible groove patterns mark movement lines) to funnel the Ball of Swine boss toward crawlers. After the boss was popped, all internal walls retracted, revealing one large open dome-shaped arena with the Floor 2 stairwell visible at the center, sealed behind a red forcefield.
